2002 RAMBLINGS
(September 18th to December 31st, 2002)

September 18th, 2002:
Hey everyone! Welcome to the newly remodeled and vastly expanded Plight Site!
For nearly four years now, we've had tons of great art from not only Tony and myself, but from some very talented artists as well. And it's been our privilege to host the majority of that art on a humble little page on Crimsonpug.com. But late last year I realized the page was getting a little too over-filled and while I've enjoyed all the pictures, the fact was it was also taking up a lot of space on the site; space that could be used for other things. Obviously more room was needed and I didn't want to lose many of the pictures, so with Tony's blessings I purchased this domain and started tinkering whenever I had a chance. Let me tell you, it's been a real experience trying new things out and getting it all ready for today (which also happens to be my birthday.)
Which brings up the question if this site has become its own entity now - and the answer is, not really. It's true our new address is www.plightsite.com; but I see this as more of just an extension of Crimsonpug.com, and it will remain that way for the foreseeable future. As long as I have any say in the matter, Crimsonpug.com will always be considered home to Plight. It's just now we're able to do more things we weren't able to do before and no limits to the ideas we can come up with or feature. That can even include things not even related to Plight!
Anyhow, to get things off on the right track we have a massive update today! For all of you who have been patiently waiting, we get the comic book back on track with page four! In the pin-up section, there's two new pieces: "Contact Lens" and "Beach Blast '02". In the Summer Blockbuster Gallery, we feature an homage to "Austin Powers in Goldmember" and a second piece devoted to "Star Wars - Episode 2: Attack of the Clones". In guest artists, we unveil a lost piece of art by Alex Tam. And in miscellaneous we have tons of rare things. Plus for all you sleuths out there, there's even a couple of well-hidden Easter eggs that are well worth the search. And it's not just a measly picture or something small either. We made sure you get rewarded for your efforts.
Well, that's all for today. But please check everything out and drop me a line of what you think. I'd like to hear from you. So until next time, take it easy and thanks! - Jake

October 18th, 2002:
Finally an Update!
After a month of absence, though not by choice mind you, we are finally back an ready to debut a new pic! Don't let this drought get to you though, there are plenty of more pics on the way in the next couple of weeks.
So just get on with it? Yeah that's what I thought you'd say.
So check out our "September 11th, 2001" tribute picture in "Tony's Pics". Its not overly flashy, but its a nice way to honor the memory of such a tragic day.
Check back next week for even more pictures! - Jake

October 25th, 2002:
Has anyone seen Jake?
I say this all in good natured teasing, but I mean the guy hasn't posted anything new here since the site debuted, leaving me all alone to make sure the site keeps running. Seriously though, Jake HAS been working diligently on getting new pics to the site, but his recent money troubles and cancellation of his internet service have cropped up to hinder him. Have no fear though, I guarantee that he will have a new picture here on November 1st. At the very least I will, and I'm 99.9% sure he'll have one ready as well.
But instead of dwelling in the future, lets keep our heads on the here and now shall we? I have a new picture posted in my gallery, featuring the return of an old friend to the Plight universe. Surf on over to "Sparring Partners" and take a look.
Don't forget, November 1st, that's NEXT Friday. Tune in. - Tony

Okay everybody, do we play along or should we tell him I'm NOT off-line? You'd think the new picture above would be a tip-off, but alas, I guess he doesn't check those things. I'm teasing of course.
Anyhow, Halloween is fast approaching so we also have a new picture to celebrate one of our favorite holidays. It's called "Halloween 2002". I know it's not the most original title I've even come up with, but when you see what's coming up, you'll understand. - Jake

November 23rd, 2002
Hey everyone! In the process of getting everything in order and caught up with the websites, we have a new sketch entitled "Grand Theft Mimicry". It was something I quickly drew one night at Tony's and he felt it was too good to let go to waste, so he finished it up for me. Give it a look and see what you think. Also, for all you sharp-eyed 'easter egg' hunters, the remaining 7 pages of 'you-know-what' is finally posted.
That's it for today. Take it easy! - Jake
